The Foreign Agricultural Service's Rome office represents the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in Italy.

Working from the U.S. Embassy in Rome, our mission is to promote the sale of American food and agricultural, fishery, and forestry products in Italy, Malta, and Albania.

We provide information and other trade services to U.S. agricultural companies seeking to export their products as well as to local companies wishing to import U.S. products.

We also provide information to travelers interested in taking food or other agricultural products to the United States or in transporting their pets or other animals to the United States.

Our office also has responsibility for the FAS/USDA offices in Zagreb, Croatia; Sarajevo, Bosnia; and Athens, Greece.

L’ufficio di Roma del Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) rappresenta in Italia il Dipartimento dell’Agricoltura degli Stati Uniti.

Svolgendo la nostra attività presso l’Ambasciata degli Stati Uniti a Roma, la nostra missione e’ di promuovere la vendita di prodotti agro-alimentari, della pesca e forestali americani in Italia, Malta ed Albania.

Il nostro ufficio fornisce servizi commerciali sia alle ditte locali che desiderano importare prodotti statunitensi che alle ditte statunitensi che vogliano sviluppare i propri sbocchi commerciali in questi paesi.

Forniamo anche informazioni ai viaggiatori verso gli Stati Uniti in merito alla spedizione di animali da compagnia ed altri animali, nonché ai requisiti all’importazione negli Stati Uniti ed ad eventuali proibizioni all’importazione di alimenti, bevande e prodotti agricoli.

L’ufficio di Roma del FAS e’ anche responsabile degli uffici USDA di Zagabria (Croazia), Sarajevo (Bosnia) e Atene (Grecia).
