General Strike Scheduled on Friday, December 12, 2008

The largest union confederation, CGIL, has called a general strike for Friday, December 12, 2008, to voice disapproval of the economic maneuver submitted to Parliament by the Government.
A significant level of participation in the strike is expected and the transport sector will be affected.
Please note that both national and international airline flights should be regular.

  • Bus and subway between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
  • Regional and national train personnel between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Trenitalia is preparing a list of guaranteed trains that will be available at:  www.trenitalia.com.
