Security Notice: Demonstration scheduled for Friday, January 11, 2008

Amnesty International has scheduled demonstrations for Friday, January 11, in Rome, Ancona, Bologna, Firenze, Foggia, Milano, Palermo and Sassari to ask for the closure of Guantanamo. The protest in Rome will take place in front of the US Embassy at 11:00 AM, January 11. Organizers are expecting approximately 30 people to participate in this demonstration. Local Police will be present and do not anticipate any problems, however American citizens should avoid Via Veneto from 11:00 AM to 13:30 PM.
