Possible Problems with Local Soccer Game in Rome, November 28, 2007

There will be a soccer match this evening November 28, 2007, around 20:45, between Lazio and Olympiacos, the Greek team.

The last time the Greek team was in Rome, they had problems with the Italian supporters. Therefore, according to Italian police, approximately 6,000 Greek supporters will be provided a police escort throughout the day and in particular from the train station to Villa Borghese, from where they will be taken in buses to the stadium.

The police are concerned that there could be an incident this evening so citizens should be aware of their surroundings and if you see a problem developing, please leave the area.
