Security Notice: Anti-U.S. Protest, Pordenone, March 25, 2007

At approximately 1400 hours, on Sunday, 25 March 2007, the Blessed Peacemakers will host their 11th Annual, and historically peaceful, protest against the U.S. Air Base at Aviano.

They will gather at Piazzale Cattedrale San Marco in Pordenone and march to the base as part of the annual Via Crucis (Way of the Cross) Pre-Easter Celebration of Prayer. The procession is expected to end at Aviano Air Base at approximately 1800 hours.

The Blessed Peacemakers have invited all to join in the day of prayer against numerous initiatives, which means there is the possibility that the protest will be attended by other activists/protest groups.

Historically the protest attendance has been from the low hundreds to over a thousand. No violence is expected.
