Demonstration Notices - Archive

DEMONSTRATION TODAY, OCTOBER 19, 2009, IN PIAZZA BARBERINI IN ROME FROM APPROXIMATELY 12:45 TO 14:45

A demonstration is currently taking place in Piazza Barberini and may last for approximately two hours. 

About 100 demonstrators are in the Piazza and the police are present.  At this time, the purpose is unknown.

The U. S. Embassy  recommends that U.S. citizens avoid the area during the demonstration and remain alert in the area before and after the demonstration
