Demonstration Today, September 2, 2009, in Front of the U.S. Embassy in Rome from 12:00 to 14:00

A demonstration is scheduled to take place across from the U.S. Embassy in Rome today from 12:00 to 14:00. 

The demonstration is being organized by a group of Iranians who are demonstrating about Camp Ashraf, an Iranian refugee camp in Iraq.The demonstration will take place at the corner of Via Veneto and Via Bissolati in front of the bank across from the U.S. Embassy.

The police expect a small group of demonstrators, and police will be present. The U. S. Embassy   recommends that U.S. citizens avoid the area during the demonstration and remain alert in the area before and after the demonstration.
