Demonstration Today, August 21, in Front of the U.S. Embassy in Rome, 1400 to 1630

A demonstration is scheduled to take place across from the U.S. Embassy in Rome today from 14:00 to 16:30. The demonstration is being organized by a group of Iranians who are requesting that the U.S. take care of a group of Iranian refugees in a refugee camp in Iraq.

The demonstration will take place at the corner of Via Veneto and Via Bissolati in front of the bank across from the U.S. Embassy.

The police expect approximately 20 participants, and police will be present. The U.S. Embassy recommends that U.S. citizens avoid the area during the demonstration, and that you remain alert in the area before and after the demonstration.
