Demonstration Notice: Demonstrations Scheduled for July 31, August 3 and 4

Three demonstrations are scheduled to take place across from the U.S. Embassy in Rome on July 31, August 3, and August 4 from 13:30 to 15:30.  The demonstrations are being organized by a group of Iranians who are protesting the treatment of Iranian refugees in a refugee camp in Baghdad that has transitioned from U.S. to Iraqi control.

The demonstrations will take place at the corner of Via Veneto and Via Bissolati in front of the bank across from the U.S. Embassy.

The police expect approximately 50 participants, and police will be present. The U.S. Embassy recommends that U.S. citizens avoid the area during the demonstration, and that they remain alert in the area before and after the demonstration.
