Demonstration Notice: Demonstration Scheduled in Rome – March 5, 2009

The U.S. Embassy in Rome advises Americans that on Thursday, March 5, 2009, there is a demonstration scheduled to take place in front of the U..S. Embassy at the corner of Via Bissolati and Via Veneto from 12:00 to 16:00. The demonstration is sponsored by groups who support the cause of an individual who is in prison in the U.S. Approximately 30-40 participants are expected. The demonstration is described by the sponsors as a silent event. American citizens should consider avoiding the area of the demonstration.
